Experience
My professional journey began while attending Penn State University, where I gained valuable hands-on experience working for local businesses and the university itself. These early roles allowed me to develop a practical understanding of computer systems, technical support, and teamwork in dynamic environments.
After graduation, I joined AccuWeather, Inc., where I spent over a decade advancing from client support to software development. At AccuWeather, I contributed to the creation of innovative radar and satellite image processing systems, and played a key role in developing two generations of TV Weather Graphics platforms used by meteorologists worldwide. This experience sharpened my skills in software architecture, real-time data processing, and cross-functional collaboration.
Currently, at Avail Technologies, Inc., I design and implement embedded software and backend systems for mass transit solutions. My work supports critical infrastructure for transit agencies and manufacturers, delivering reliable data services and real-time traveler information. I thrive on tackling complex challenges, integrating hardware and software, and ensuring robust, scalable solutions for public transportation.
Throughout my career, I have built expertise in software development, computer support, PC hardware, networking, and troubleshooting. My experience spans multiple operating systems—including Windows, Linux, Unix System V, Silicon Graphics IRIX, DOS, and VMS—enabling me to adapt quickly and deliver results in diverse technical landscapes.
